Maymester 2012 Team

The Maymester 2012 group consisted of three students from The University of Texas at Austin and a Ghanaian peer from The University of Ghana, Legon. Their main goal was to sustain Helping Hands Apprenticeship Program (HHAP) and enhance their opportunity to seek outside funding and development.

The team spent a week at the Culture Centre in Mr. Abu's shop where they:
  • completed workshops with apprentices,
  • created a financial reporting system to account for materials and funding,
  • created webpages to build awareness of HHAP,
  • donated funds and supplies,
  • provided training on Microsoft Excel and consumer perspectives,
  • and created a documentary to highlight the program's initiatives.
